Post Approval Workflow Update
We've moved the approve button to the post edit flow, right next to the "Save Draft" button. No more hunting around to get those posts green-lit.
What's changed:
-
The Approve button is now front and center while you're editing
-
Speed up your workflow by approving at the same time as making changes
-
Reduced clicks to get your content ready for publishing
We noticed that having the approval button separate from the editing screen felt a bit clunky and hard to find. This small shift should make your approval process feel much more seamless.
Invite a client to connect accounts
If your client does not feel comfortable giving you access to their social accounts, you can now share a link with them so that they can connect it to your social set themselves.
Read the guide on how to share the link with your clients here.
Currently this feature is only for Instagram, however we plan on adding other socials in time based on popularity.
If you need another one added, please contact support and let us know.
🆕 Post creation improvements
We've just launched a few new improvements to our post creation flow that make it easier to create new posts.
Remove all media items from a postYou can now remove all media items from a post. Just click the "X" button at the top right of the media to remove it completely. Doing so will make the post a text post (if available on that network).
Create text posts by removing the mediaPreviously, to do a text-only post you would need to select "text-only" from a dropdown menu. Now, all you need to do is a post without media.
This also allowed us to remove the post type dropdowns from Twitter, LinkedIn, BlueSky and TikTok - making it easier to create posts.
2-step post creation flowNow when creating a new post (by clicking the "New" button), you will see a new window. In this window there is only 1 caption input and 1 media gallery.
Add your media, then add your caption and click "Continue to edit" in the bottom right.
This will take you to the editing window you already know, but all galleries and captions will be filled in. If you're happy with the post, you can publish it straight away.
New 3:4 portrait crop option
You can now crop images to suit Instagram's new format with 1 click, with the new 3:4 crop option.
New way to upload media to posts & shared calendar improvements
You can now upload media directly from the post window, when creating a post. This means you don't even need to use the media library (if you don't want to!).
Just look for the "Upload" button, or drag media on to that section to upload media directly to your post.
*It will also be added to your media library in the background.
Shared calendar improvementsFor some users, the welcome popup didn't always make sense, especially if you had post approvals turned off.
You can now disable the popup from showing to your clients by unchecking the "Show intro help guide" checkbox.
📁 Media Library UI Improvements
We have made some minor UI changes to the media library to make it easier to use.
-
Folders will always be displayed in a list style so there is more space to see the folder name
-
You can no longer set the color of your folders, they will be a yellow that has good contrast - making it easier to see
-
Media library list style has been improved, and hovering over the small media will open them in a larger popup
-
Sort, filter and search buttons have been grouped into one button
-
Improved mobile functionality by adding more smaller bulk action buttons
-
Toggle between grid/list style in the calendar sidebar media library
We hope you like the changes and happy to hear any feedback on how to make it even better.
🎵 Rename Instagram Reels audio
You can now rename your Instagram audio when scheduling Reels in Pallyy.
Look for the "Rename Audio" field when creating a post.
Enter a unique name for your audio. You can only rename your audio once.
If you leave it blank it will default to "Original Audio".
Expand images in shared calendar
We have added an expand button on images in the shared calendar so that your clients can expand the images to see them in full size.
Just look for the "[ ]" button at the bottom of any image when you open a post.
Instagram Shoppable posts.
You can now tag your Instagram shop products in your Instagram posts!
Simply click the shop icon in the bottom right of the image:
Then click on the image to see your catalog, and click through to see products which you can then tag on the image:
If you have any issues please let us know.
Enjoy!
Custom cover image for Instagram Reels
You can now use a custom image on your Instagram Reels, instead of a frame from the video!
Just select "Reel" when scheduling a video and click the button "Upload Image". You can select any image from your media library.
We hope you like it!
